Everyone makes fun of me because I was home schooled through every school year. The first thought they have is that I am sheltered and do not understand how to make friends with other individuals.
The funny thing is that I have the ability to experience a good deal more than anybody in public school. One of the better things about this type of schooling is the freedom that you have. I wasn’t restricted on how many hours I had to sit down and learn and what months we had to get off.
I have lived in a total of four states. I have visited historical sites and cities that include; Washington D.C., Gettysburg, and St. Augustine. I have been to both Canada and Japan and made friends of all sorts. The experience of traveling and seeing new places and doing different things is a wonderful feeling.
Now that I am older I don’t constantly have the time off to make a road trip or to go to all of the places that I love. However, it doesn’t keep me from putting together a list of all the things that I would enjoy to do when my own daughter is older.
I would love to bring her to different places that may spark her vision and give her an open view of the world surrounding her. She can go on a boat trip across the sea and possibly even go scuba diving and discover the world that lies below the water. Make sure that your children can explore and have an interest of the nature that is around them.
